If the line-up for Primavera Sound Barcelona 2025 proposed an exciting conversation in the present when it was revealed on the 24th of October, the audience rushed to join in. The Primavera community confirmed that it wanted to be an active part of the next edition of the festival from the word go, it was an instant crush. It has done so by endorsing the inimitable artistic commitment, as close to its time as it is to the over two decades of Primavera Sound’s history, with a response that leaves no room for doubt: the full festival tickets are about to sell out and there are still almost seven months to go before the music starts to play in the Parc del Fòrum.
An unprecedented response for an unprecedented line-up, crowned by the three artists of the moment after the day splits of the 147 names were announced. Charli xcx, Sabrina Carpenter and Chappell Roan headline each of the three main days of Primavera Sound Barcelona 2025, which will take place on the 5th, 6th and 7th of June. Before that, on the traditional free Opening Day on Wednesday 4th June, Caribou, La Casa Azul, Hinds and Llum will officially kick off the festival in a celebration open to the whole city.
The closing will come with the Primavera Bits x Nitsa party, which will be grand finale with sets by Michael Bibi, Paul Kalkbrenner, Carlita, BUNT and Ona on Sunday 8th June. A culmination in the form of an open-air daytime electronic music party, transforming the Parc del Fòrum into a gigantic dance floor overlooking the sea from 3pm and for eight hours. A new collaboration between the festival and Nitsa Club that is part of the 30th anniversary of Barcelona’s most emblematic club and which, with a nod to the dance area inaugurated during the 2016 edition, brings back the more electronic side of Primavera Sound.
This year, Primavera Sound Barcelona will once again be much more than just three days of concerts. Still to be revealed is the parallel programme of Primavera a la Ciutat, which will complete a whole week of music that will take place in different parts of Barcelona.
